Internet Identity
What is Internet Identity?
Section titled “What is Internet Identity?”Internet Identity is the authentication system used by Pybara Wallet. Instead of a username and password, it uses the biometric sensor or PIN already built into your device — Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or your phone’s lock screen.
No password to remember. No seed phrase to write down. No email to verify.
How it Works
Section titled “How it Works”When you sign in to Pybara Wallet, your device generates a cryptographic key pair tied to your hardware. The private key never leaves your device. Internet Identity is maintained by DFINITY and runs entirely on the Internet Computer — no company holds your credentials.
Your Principal ID
Section titled “Your Principal ID”When you authenticate, Internet Identity assigns you a unique identifier called a Principal ID. This is your wallet address on the Internet Computer. Pybara uses this to identify you across all merchants — your order history in the Pybara Wallet is tied to it.
Recovery
Section titled “Recovery”Since there’s no password, recovery works differently. During setup, Internet Identity gives you a recovery phrase. Store it somewhere safe — it’s the only way to recover access if you lose your device.
