Send

The Send flow handles every way to move tokens out of your wallet — IC sends to contacts or any principal, and cross-chain withdrawals to Bitcoin or Ethereum — from a single unified interface.

How it works

1. Select a token — tap any token on your Balances screen
2. Tap Send — opens the Send form
3. Enter a destination — paste an address, select a contact from the dropdown, or scan a QR code
4. Pybara detects the network — the address format is recognised automatically (IC, BTC, or ETH)
5. Enter an amount — a slider and min/max helpers are shown
6. Review and confirm — full fee breakdown before anything is signed

Contacts dropdown

When you focus the address field, recent contacts compatible with the selected token appear instantly in a dropdown. Start typing a name or address to narrow the list. Selecting a contact skips straight to the amount step.

Tip

Save frequent recipients as contacts from the Manage → Contacts panel. Contacts are stored on-chain and persist across devices.

Address detection

As soon as a recognisable address is typed or pasted, a network badge appears below the input field confirming which chain was detected — before you even hit Next.

Sending on the Internet Computer

IC sends settle in 1–2 seconds with near-zero fees. Any ICP principal is a valid destination. Account IDs are also accepted, but principals are preferred — an account ID is tied to a single token slot, whereas a principal holds all tokens.

Withdrawing to Bitcoin

ckBTC can be redeemed 1:1 for native BTC via the DFINITY ckBTC minter.

Caution

Lightning Network addresses are not supported. Use a standard on-chain Bitcoin address.

The Bitcoin network fee is set by the minter at broadcast time based on mempool congestion. It is deducted from the amount received — not from your ckBTC balance separately.

Withdrawing to Ethereum

ckETH, ckUSDC, and ckUSDT are redeemed via the DFINITY ckERC-20 minter on Ethereum mainnet.

Gas reservation

If Ethereum gas prices are unusually high, the minter queues the withdrawal and processes it automatically once prices fall within the 0.001 ckETH budget.

Important

Caution

• Withdrawals are irreversible once confirmed. Always double-check the destination address.
• For all Ethereum withdrawals (ckETH, ckUSDC, ckUSDT), you need at least 0.001 ckETH in your balance for the gas reservation. Pybara checks this at the destination step and shows your exact balance vs. the requirement — you cannot proceed until the condition is met.
• ERC-20 destination addresses must support standard ERC-20 tokens (most exchange deposit addresses do).
