Pybara for WooCommerce

This Wordpress plugin enables your store to accept cryptocurrency payments directly on the Internet Computer — no payment processor, no chargebacks, instant settlement.

Requirements

  • SSL certificate (HTTPS required)

Quick Start

  1. Install the plugin
  2. Configure your settings
  3. Test payments
  4. Go live!

Payment Flow

  1. Customer Initiates Payment

    Customer proceeds to checkout and selects Pybara as payment method.

  2. Wallet Connection

    The Pybara checkout modal opens. Customer connects one of:

    • Pybara Wallet — Pybara’s native wallet with Internet Identity
    • Oisy Wallet — Browser-based, multi-chain wallet by DFINITY

  3. Token & Amount

    The SDK calculates the crypto equivalent of the fiat order total using real-time exchange rates. Customer selects their preferred token (ICP, ckBTC, ckETH, etc.) and reviews the exact amount.

  4. Payment Execution

    Customer approves the transaction in their wallet. An ICRC-1 transfer is executed on-chain directly from the customer’s wallet to the merchant’s receiving address.

  5. Verification & Completion

    The Pybara canister verifies the transaction on-chain (amount, recipient, recency). The WooCommerce order is automatically marked as paid and fulfillment begins.

Architecture

Customer Wallet → IC Blockchain (ICRC-1) → Pybara Canister → WooCommerce
  • No custody — Pybara never holds customer funds
  • Direct transfers — Payment goes straight from customer to merchant
  • Immutable verification — Payment canister is a blackhole canister (cannot be upgraded or modified)
  • Auditable — Payment canister code is publicly verifiable on-chain
