Sites

The Sites section has two parts: Your sites, the websites that take payments and donations into this wallet, and Your organizations, the legal entities that run them.

A site using a plugin appears in your sites once it receives its first payment or donation into this wallet: it is set up in the settings of Pybara for WooCommerce or Pybara Donate, which show the _pybara-payto DNS record it needs.

A site using the Pybara widget, without a plugin, is added here, with Add a site without a plugin, and appears as soon as you accept the widget’s terms for it.

Each site shows its name, whether it takes Payments or Donations, its commission rate, and the volume this wallet has received from it. Badges mark a site that is on the Founder rate (see the pricing of WooCommerce, Pybara Donate or the widget), Suspended, or attached to one of your organizations.

A widget site also shows the version of the widget’s terms you accepted for it, and when. When newer terms are published, it asks you to accept them: widget updates that need them won’t show on that site until you do.

Click a site to attach it to one of your organizations, or detach it.

How the volatile tokens your sites send to this wallet are settled is set once, for the whole wallet, in AutoStable.

For a website that uses the Pybara widget with no Pybara plugin, click Add a site without a plugin, under your sites. It has three steps; click a step’s title to open it. The widget shows nothing on the site until the first two are done.

A site takes payments or donations once its DNS proves that this wallet may be paid for it. That proof is a TXT record named _pybara-payto, which only the domain’s owner can publish. Without it, the checkout on that site tells buyers it is not set up yet, and no payment goes through.

  1. In your domain provider’s DNS settings, add a record with the three values shown:

    Field What to enter
    Type TXT
    Name _pybara-payto
    Value your wallet’s principal
  2. Under Check your site, enter your site’s address, such as example.com, and click Check.

  3. Once the record lists your wallet, the check shows Verified, and Check becomes Next: click it to go to step 2.

Read the widget’s terms, linked with their version, and click I accept. You accept them for this site, from this wallet; Pybara records the version and the date. The site then appears in your sites.

If you run the widget on several sites, accept the terms for each.

Group your sites under the organization that runs them, whether a company, a nonprofit or just you. Pybara sends one invoice per organization.

Click Add an organization and fill in:

  • Legal name, Legal form (Company, Nonprofit or Individual), Country (chosen from the list) and Billing email, which are required;
  • Invoicing details, which are optional: VAT or company number, billing contact, phone and address.

Click Edit on an organization to change its details later. Every change is kept as a new version, so an invoice always keeps the details it was issued under.

Open a site in Your sites, choose one of your organizations and click Attach. Attaching checks that the site’s DNS record lists your wallet. An organization lists the addresses of its attached sites.

An organization with no site attached can be deleted with Delete. It is removed from your organizations, while its invoicing details and change history stay on record, for accounting.
